THE EIGHTIES |
|
|
 |
In
September 1981
Edoardo Bertoli and Maurizio Pavoni two professionals with a long-time
experience in the sector of plastics, found Nordcontenitori in Osio
Sopra (Bergamo). At the very beginning, the production is outsourced
and the company's capitals are invested in creating new moulds.
In 1988,
for logistics reasons, the company moves to Medolago (Bergamo) on a
2666 square metre area (350 of bureaus and 2316 of warehouse). |

THE NINETIES |
|
|
 |
In
1995
the newly established processing plant in Chignolo d'Isola begins to
work. It has at present 6 presses for the injection of plastic materials (each of
them has a clamping force of up to 1200 ton). At present, it covers a
3000 metre area.
In 1998,
in Greece, another processing plant is installed to produce an item
for the domestic market |

 |
1999 is is a very
important year for Nordcontenitori. The company starts finding new
solutions to logistics problems.
Thanks to an accurate investment & research policy new products come
into light. In order to make tailor-made but also environmentally
friendly packaging and pallets, Nordcontenitori places a new extruder
for recycled-PET in a 500 sq m roofed area. Thanks to this new
patented production method, Nordcontenitori starti the assembling of
the modular pallet.
The pallet Boomerang is the new smoothed-surface plastic pallet
which comes along with the hygienic pallet in order to meet the
pharmaceutical and alimentary industry needs. As a consequence of its
highly innovative content, Boomerang is awarded the Italian Packaging
Award. By collaborating with European companies, Nordcontenitori
widens its range of products significantly. The Euro R, the
folding pallet box for industry, represents the remarkable result of
this collaboration. It permits to save costs, taxes and waste.
In addition, new products for industrial and commercial areas join the
range of products.

THE NEW
MILLENNIUM |
|
 |
Nordcontenitori
celebrates its first 20 years in
2001,
and it becomes a joint-Stock company. During all that time the company
acquired an outstanding role among plastic boxes producers, thanks to
a successful marketing and sales activity. This conquest is not meant
to be a point of arrival; it rather wants to be a stimulus for its
future enrichment and growth.
In this period too, some new products are launched on the market: "Iridium-Pal",
the double-patented heavy-duty plastic pallet available in several
colour combinations; L2 (plastic box conceived to easily lay
entire loins) and finally a new lid (COP N64) for stack & nest
boxes whose perimetral rim shows interruptions which favour strapping
operations.

In
2002
Leonardo, the
modular packaging produced in collaboration with Whirlpool Europe, is
awarded the Italian Packaging Award. |
|
|
 |
Since spring
2003,
the company undergoes a significant internal innovating path: it
reorganizes its commercial activity, founding Logis-Rent which
acts on the international markets as the sole Nordcontenitori
distributor and it structures around an experienced manager its sales
strategies. At the same time, thanks to the creation of a R&D
office, an essential function has been integrated in the company (it
was previously outsourced) in order to respond effectively to the
clients' needs. The existence of two strictly connected companies,
Nordcontenitori and Logis-Rent, in the strong hands of one single
family, is the premise for a possible group-image evolution: it is a
brand-empowering choice and a chance for a better human-resource
management.
The jury of the first Italian edition of the contest “Display
SuperstarITALIA” designates Iridium-Pal® as the most innovative
ground-display in the large-scale retail trade. |
|
|
 |
2004 can be easily
defined as the year of the pallet. Nordcontenitori, already known as
producer of Iridium-Pal® and of tailor-made pallets made of extruded
recycled PET bars, launches on the market two new models of nesting
plastic pallets. Its objective is to help those companies which,
exporting to countries such as China, United States and Australia,
must conform their export procedures to more strict legislations on
the import of wooden packaging.
Coming to pallet-boxes, the company is also trying to improve its
product range, updating some moulds and launching a renewed pallet-box
line. The launch of new products is completed by the creation of a
mould maintenance area, reducing the reparation times and advantaging
the productivity.
The e-commerce project, which has been carried out in the
spring 2004, will allow Italian private customers and companies the
online purchase on www.nordcontenitori.com.
